Led by partners Alex Millaire and Kaitlin Milroy, Moonfruits live and work on the unceded Territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe (Ottawa). With roots in eastern and southern Ontario, they pen songs in French and English - a reflection of their shared bilingual life - and perform in Canada, Europe and the US for heart-forward music lovers of all stripes.

2024 was a banner year for the band: Two nominations at the Canadian Folk Music Awards (Production and Emerging Act of the Year), tours in Canada and the US – including opening for Juno-laureat Aysannabee – chosen as pilot artists for Ontario Presents’ Slow Touring Pilot Project, and a 7-week Slow Tour in Europe to cap it off. Moonfruits is the recent winner of the Changez d’Air prize, sending the band to France and Switzerland in May of 2025.

Guitar, banjo, harmonium, and double bass accompany the tender and powerful harmonies at the core of Moonfruits’ sound. Their forthcoming album, «Ici» (2027) is a collection of dreamy, enveloping folk songs that bristle with urgency and invite the audience to journey elsewhere.

Tickets for this show are $30 in advance (+ online fees) or $35 at the door. Advance tickets are available online only through the Eventbrite Link below. Your ticket will be delivered to you via email. If shows are sold out, we will post that information here and on our Facebook page, otherwise you should assume you can also purchase tickets at the door. We accept cash, credit card or debit for day of show sales.

All seating at our shows is general admission - which means you will choose your seat on arrival. There isn't a bad seat in the house, but if you would like to be close to the front we recommend arriving at least half an hour before show time (doors will open at 6.15/showtime is 7 pm). The Upper Canada Playhouse in Morrisburg is a fully accessible venue - we will reserve seats for those who need access to wheelchair or walker spaces.
